土木工程系兼任教授,加拿大阿尔伯塔大学CW Carry钢结构讲座教授,加拿大工程院院士。主要研究方向是钢结构及冷型钢结构,结构稳定,金属破坏和疲乏,用复合材料于结构维修和补强,结构监测系统,和地下能源钢管行为和设计。发表过重要期刊论文100余篇,国际会议论文150余篇。主持过加拿大国家研究中心关于结构监测和复合材料的项目,曾任加拿大阿尔伯塔大学土木及环境工程系系主任长达15年。获得2016阿尔伯塔省工程师协会百年杰出领导奖,2017德州大学杰出校友奖,和数项阿尔伯塔大学教学和研究奖。
